Description:
We are seeking an experienced Cloud & Platform Architect to define enterprise cloud architecture standards, Non-Functional Requirements (NFRs), resilience frameworks, and cloud-native platform patterns. This role focuses on creating scalable, reusable enterprise architecture patterns and governance standards—not solution-specific designs. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in cloud-native architectures, HA/DR strategies, application tiering, Kubernetes, and enterprise cloud modernization.
Role and Responsibilities:
Enterprise Architecture & NFR Standards Define enterprise NFR standards for: Performance Scalability Availability Resilience Observability Cost optimization Establish application tiering framework with RPO/RTO standards Define SLA/SLO and capacity planning standards Review architectures for NFR and resilience compliance
Cloud Platform & Resilience Patterns:
Create cloud-native reference architectures: Microservices Serverless Container-based platforms Event-driven architectures Define platform usage standards for VMs, Kubernetes, serverless, and managed services Build HA/DR and multi-region resilience patterns Establish observability, monitoring, logging, and tracing standards Create cloud migration and modernization patterns
Platform Strategy & Governance:
Develop enterprise cloud modernization roadmap Partner with Infrastructure, Security, and Solution Architecture teams Drive adoption of cloud-native and resilience best practices
Core Skills & Qualifications Experience:
10+ years in Enterprise Architecture, Cloud Architecture, or Platform Engineering 5+ years defining enterprise NFRs and cloud standards Strong experience designing highly available and resilient systems Hands-on expertise with cloud-native and Kubernetes architectures Experience establishing RPO/RTO and application tiering frameworks
Technical Skills:
AWS, Azure, or GCP architecture expertise Kubernetes and container orchestration Cloud-native architecture patterns HA/DR and multi-region design Observability and monitoring platforms Infrastructure scalability and cost optimization
Certifications:
AWS Solutions Architect Professional, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect (one required) TOGAF preferred
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Multi-cloud architecture experience
  • SRE or platform engineering background
  • Experience with chaos engineering and resilience testing
  • Experience in highly regulated industries such as healthcare or finance
Success Metrics:
  • Establish enterprise NFR and application tiering framework
  • Publish reusable cloud platform and resilience patterns
  • Improve cloud-native adoption across engineering teams
  • Standardize HA/DR and observability practices enterprise-wide
Pay:
$100,508.48 - $121,042.48 per year
