Job Description

JOB SUMMARY
The Senior DevOps / Platform Engineer will be responsible for designing, building, automating, and optimizing enterprise CI/CD platforms, DevSecOps capabilities, Database-as-Code solutions, and observability frameworks. This role will drive platform modernization initiatives, improve developer productivity through automation and self-service capabilities, strengthen security controls across the software delivery lifecycle, and enhance operational excellence across enterprise technology environments. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in DevOps, Platform Engineering, Infrastructure Automation, Security Automation, and enterprise-scale CI/CD ecosystems.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Platform Engineering & CI/CD
  • Design, build, maintain, and optimize enterprise CI/CD platforms, automation frameworks, and deployment pipelines.
  • Develop reusable deployment patterns, templates, and self-service engineering capabilities that improve developer productivity and reduce operational overhead.
  • Modernize and enhance existing CI/CD processes to improve reliability, scalability, security, and operational efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain automation throughout the application lifecycle, including build, testing, security validation, deployment, monitoring, and operational support.
  • Partner with development teams to implement DevOps best practices and accelerate software delivery.
  • Build reusable automation frameworks and platform capabilities that standardize engineering processes across teams.
  • Support enterprise platform modernization and operational transformation initiatives. Security Automation & DevSecOps
  • Lead the implementation and automation of security controls across software delivery and infrastructure platforms.
  • Collaborate with Identity and Access Management (IAM) teams to support: o Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) o Single Sign-On (SSO) o Privileged Access Management (PAM) o Privileged Session Management (PSM)
  • Design and implement automated credential management, password rotation, and secrets management processes.
  • Integrate security testing, vulnerability scanning, compliance validation, and governance controls into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Drive remediation efforts related to infrastructure, application, and software supply chain vulnerabilities.
  • Establish security best practices aligned with DevSecOps methodologies and enterprise governance standards. Database-as-Code & Automation
  • Lead the adoption and implementation of Database-as-Code practices across enterprise database environments.
  • Design, implement, and maintain Liquibase-based deployment frameworks and database automation solutions.
  • Develop automated processes for database deployments, validations, rollback procedures, and compliance enforcement.
  • Build self-service solutions supporting approved SQL and DML execution requests.
  • Establish governance, traceability, auditability, and compliance standards for database changes.
  • Collaborate with database administrators and development teams to streamline deployment processes and reduce operational dependencies. Observability & Operational Excellence
  • Design and maintain enterprise observability, monitoring, logging, and metrics platforms.
  • Build automation solutions that improve operational efficiency, platform reliability, and system visibility.
  • Develop integrations between enterprise applications, monitoring tools, APIs, and operational platforms.
  • Partner with infrastructure, application, security, and platform teams to drive standardization and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Implement proactive monitoring and alerting strategies to improve system reliability and operational responsiveness.
  • Support operational readiness, incident prevention, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement efforts.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in: o DevOps Engineering o Platform Engineering o Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) o Infrastructure Automation o Related Engineering Disciplines
  • Strong understanding of modern DevOps, Platform Engineering, and software delivery methodologies.
  • Experience designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise CI/CD pipelines and automation frameworks.
  • Strong knowledge of: o Infrastructure as Code (IaC) o Configuration Management o Software Defined Infrastructure o Automation-First Engineering Practices
  • Experience supporting: o On-Premises Environments o Virtualized Infrastructure o Containerized Platforms o Cloud-Based Environments
  • Strong programming and automation experience with at least one modern language such as: o Python o Equivalent Object-Oriented Programming Languages
  • Strong scripting expertise using: o PowerShell o Bash o Python
  • Experience with enterprise automation and orchestration platforms including: o Jenkins o Ansible o Microsoft Desired State Configuration (DSC)
  • Strong knowledge of: o REST APIs o Service-Oriented Architectures o System Integration Patterns
Understanding of:
o Application Logging o Infrastructure Logging o Security Event Logging o Operational Monitoring
  • Experience incorporating: o Security Testing o Vulnerability Scanning o Compliance Validation into software delivery workflows.
  • Experience operating within structured enterprise governance, change management, and compliance environments.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working with cross-functional technology teams.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Hands-on experience implementing Database-as-Code frameworks, particularly Liquibase.
  • Experience with observability and monitoring platforms including: o Splunk o Dynatrace
  • Experience integrating DevSecOps tooling such as: o Qualys o Fortify o Snyk o SonarQube o Comparable Security Platforms
  • Experience implementing: o Access Governance o RBAC o SSO o PAM o Secrets Management Solutions
  • Experience designing reusable self-service engineering platforms and automation frameworks.
  • Experience working within Agile, Scrum, or Kanban methodologies.
  • Experience supporting cloud-native architectures and hybrid cloud environments.
  • Experience leading automation, modernization, or operational transformation initiatives.
  • Experience improving developer productivity and operational efficiency through platform engineering practices.
  • Experience supporting mission-critical enterprise applications and large-scale environments.
