- This job is responsible for infrastructure tool/service designs within technical domains in accordance with architectural governance, standards and policies.
Key responsibilities include facilitating deployment of tools/services by leading others in solution development, maintenance of templates, playbooks and automation used during implementation. Job expectations include demonstrating expertise within technical domains, decomposing issues or objectives into work units, advancing efficient solution delivery practices, and promoting exceptional design, engineering and organizational practices.
- Position Summary:
- The role focuses heavily on Cisco switching, routing, SD‑WAN, and Catalyst Center (DNA Center) technologies, ensuring secure, resilient, and standardized connectivity across all branch locations while aligning with enterprise architecture standards and governance requirements.
- Responsibilities:
- + Confirms that application and business requirements have been translated into technical definitions, reference models, blueprints, and playbooks to guide development and integration of technology solutions + Contributes to the creation/selection of functional and non-functional product evaluation requirements within and across domains + Reviews and may develop software solutions to address manual and repeatable work or inefficient processes + Reviews and guides the evaluation of reference models, blueprints, playbooks and the execution of on-site evaluations of third-party products being considered for firm adoption + Mentors and assists Infrastructure resources on infrastructure service along with application integration validation methods and tools to ensure that technology solutions comply with enterprise system design and engineering standards + Promotes an inclusive and healthy working environment and help to resolve organizational impediments/blockers + Translate business and regulatory requirements into enterprise-grade network architectures, reference models, blueprints, and deployment playbooks for large-scale branch environments.
+ Design, implement, and support Cisco-based wired and SD‑WAN branch networks, ensuring consistent connectivity for ATMs, card readers, cameras, and IoT endpoints.
+ Leverage Cisco Catalyst Center to drive automation, configuration standardization, visibility, and assurance across thousands of branch sites.
+ Evaluate and validate reference architectures and deployment standards to ensure they are fit for purpose in high-availability banking environments.
+ Perform on-site and lab evaluations of third‑party networking and security products for potential enterprise adoption.
+ Develop automation and software-based solutions to eliminate manual, repetitive operational tasks and improve network reliability at scale.
+ Provide senior-level guidance to technical analysts and infrastructure engineers, ensuring compliance with enterprise network design, security, and engineering standards.
+ Support production network environments, including incident response, root cause analysis, change control, and continuous improvement initiatives.
+ Key Responsibilities
+ Collaborate across architecture, security, operations, and business teams while promoting an inclusive and high-performing engineering culture.
- Required Qualifications:
- + Ability to work independently with minimal daily oversight in a complex enterprise environment.
+ Strong hands-on experience with Cisco routing and switching, including enterprise campus and branch designs.
+ Proven experience with Cisco Catalyst Center (DNA Center) for network automation, monitoring, and lifecycle management.
+ Experience deploying and operating SD‑WAN solutions (Cisco, Palo Alto, or equivalent) in distributed branch environments.
+ Working knowledge of Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) and Cisco ISE for identity-based network access control.
+ Experience supporting production networks, including problem management and structured change processes.
+ Solid understanding of solution design, architecture principles, and enterprise governance.
- Desired Qualifications:
- + 7+ years of experience with Cisco Route/Switch, Catalyst Center (DNA Center), Cisco ISE, SD‑WAN, and fabric-based networking.
+ Experience with enterprise firewalls (Checkpoint, Fortinet) and DDI platforms such as BlueCat.
+ Exposure to banking or regulated environments, with an understanding of risk management and compliance considerations.
+ Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD, and infrastructure automation frameworks applied to network engineering.
+ Knowledge of Agile and Waterfall delivery models, along with cross‑team infrastructure delivery processes.
