Job Description

Genesis10 is currently seeking a SharePoint Systems Engineer for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Pennington, NJ, Jacksonville, FL or Charlotte, NC. This is an 12+ month contract opportunity.

This role is responsible for theprehensive management of server environments, focusing on Microsoft SharePoint. The position involves full server builds, managing test environments, handling release deployments, and providing 3rd level support for web applications. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on professional with extensive experience in SharePoint administration and DevOps practices.

Responsibilities:

Perform full server builds, including installing and configuring drivers, vendor software, and internal code

Manage test environments by addressing issues, documenting fixes, and planning for future prevention

Execute release deployments of internal and vendor software in production environments

Provide 3rd level support, including incident troubleshooting, analysis, and resolution for web applications

Conduct day-to-day administration, including installation, testing, tuning, upgrading, and patch management

Requirements:

• 5 years of experience installing and configuring Microsoft SharePoint server 2016 and above
• 8 years of experience administering SharePoint applications, services, permissions, and features
• Experience with DevOps practices, tools, and processes to automate the software development lifecycle
• 8 years of experience troubleshooting and resolving SharePoint service applications like Search and User Profile
• 8 years of experience with Microsoft Workflow Manager and Microsoft Office Online products
• Experience patching and maintaining SharePoint servers
• Experience with backup and restore of SharePoint service applications
• Experience deploying custom solutions and features to SharePoint farms
• 8 years of experience installing, configuring, and administering IIS

Desired skills:

PowerShell scripting experience or knowledge

Experience with Windows and third-party schedulers like Autosys

Hands-on experience with F5 devices like Global Traffic Manager and Local Traffic Manager

Pay range: $63.68 - $71.68 per hour
