ITAR Requirements Position Overview:
Our client is seeking multiple Contract Embedded Firmware Engineers to develop rugged, high-performance Ethernet networking equipment used across aerospace and defense applications. The team develops ruggedized Ethernet switches designed for demanding environments, including fighter aircraft, maritime platforms, and underwater systems .
Responsibilities:
Develop embedded firmware using C in Linux and RTOS environments. Perform kernel-level development and low-level software programming. Develop and maintain device drivers and hardware interfaces. Develop software for ARM-based processors . Interface directly with hardware, peripherals, and networking components. Troubleshoot and debug embedded systems at the hardware/software boundary. Collaborate with hardware, firmware, and systems engineers throughout the development lifecycle. Support development of rugged Ethernet switches across multiple defense product lines.
Required Qualifications:
Strong embedded C programming experience. Experience developing in Linux and/or RTOS environments. Experience with device driver development . Experience with kernel-level or low-level embedded development . Experience with ARM processors . Strong understanding of hardware/software interfaces. Ability to work in a fast-paced defense/aerospace development environment. U.S. Citizenship required due to ITAR regulations.
Preferred Experience:
Embedded networking or Ethernet switch development. Experience with ruggedized or mission-critical systems. Aerospace, defense, military, or maritime experience. Experience working with networking protocols and hardware interfaces. Pay:
$75.00 - $85.00 per hour
