We are a small development team within DRW supporting multiple web-based GUIs used by traders and IT across the globe. Our code is primarily written in TypeScript, utilizing Node, NestJS, and Docker for back-end microservices; React powers the front-end. We're seeking a Senior JavaScript/TypeScript Engineer to join our team as we scale to more users within the company. The position offers the opportunity to work on both front-end and back-end code , tight feedback with users, and opportunity to influence the design and architecture of a growing system.

Requirements:

• Strong software engineering background
• Strong experience in JavaScript/TypeScript or other object-oriented programming
• Experience in performance tuning data-intensive systems
• Comfortable with ownership of a significantly large and complex codebase Desirable skills:
• Experience with refactoring existing software to provide performance or architectural improvements while preserving current functionality
• Experience with Docker
• Experience with writing integration tests
• Experience optimizing distributed systems
• Open-source contributions or side projects
• Experience or interest in finance
• Experience with Node.js
• Experience or interest with WebAssembly and/or Rust This position can be based out of our London or Chicago office.
