Job Description

Lead Systems Integration Engineer (End-to-End Ownership)
Location:
Upper Sandusky, OH (The "Reverse Commute" 25 mins from Findlay/Marion)
Work Style:
Hybrid (Collaborative "Core Days" in-office)
Focus:
Enterprise Architecture, ERP (Sage X3),
WMS, & Hands-on DevelopmentThe Mission:
Build and Own the Nervous System of our Supply ChainAt Kalmbach Feeds, we dont have room for "paper architects." We are looking for a heavyweight Systems Integration Engineer who wants to own the entire lifecycle of enterprise connectivity. You arent just drawing diagrams; you are writing the code, deploying the integrations, and ensuring our data moves as fast as our trucks.

When you integrate our Sage X3 ERP with our Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and WMS, you are quite literally the bridge between our digital strategy and our physical production.

Why this is the "Sweet Spot" for your career:
Full-Stack Sovereignty:
You own the vision and the execution. From the first whiteboard session to the final line of code in production, this is your domain.

The "Reverse Commute": If you live in Findlay, Marion, or Tiffin, your commute is a 25-minute cruise through the countrysidenot a crawl through Columbus or Toledo traffic.
Tangible Impact:
Youll work on systems that manage real-world logistics. In a world of abstract software, your code ensures millions of animals get the nutrition they need.
Your Domain & Responsibilities:
Architect & Code:
Design and develop the end-to-end connectivity between our Sage X3 ERP, WMS, and Manufacturing systems.

Build the
Pipes:
Utilize Apache Camel and modern
REST/SOAP
APIs to build robust, scalable data flows. You are the primary developer for our Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) environment.

Level 3
Strategic Solver:
You are the final technical authority for integration challenges. When a complex data sync fails, you are the one who dives into the code to find the root cause and engineer a permanent fix.
Modernization:
Evaluate and implement modern integration patterns (Event-driven architecture, Cloud-native hooks) to ensure our ecosystem remains high-performance as we scale.
Who You Are:
The "Builder"
Mentality:
You have a deep track record of connecting enterprise systems and a passion for writing clean, maintainable code. You enjoy the "puzzle" of making disparate systems talk to each other.
ERP & Logistics Savvy:
You understand the complexity of an ERP like Sage X3. You know how to move data efficiently without compromising system integrity.
ESB Expert:
You are a hands-on expert with Apache Camel (or similar tools) and have a strong command of Java or other modern languages used for middleware.

The "Big Picture"
Developer:
You don't just "push code." You understand how a WMS integration impacts a warehouse floor worker and a customer on a farm.
