Program Engineer 4 (NSSS Systems Engineering) Engineering Corvallis, Oregon
NOTE:
THIS POSITION WILL BE BASED FULL-TIME IN OUR CORVALLIS, OR OFFICE
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Nuclear Steam Supply System (NSSS) System Engineeringanization defines and maintains the technical requirements and design parameters that underpin the NuScale Power Module, a small modular advanced light water reactor. By ing industry proven methodologies, theanization ensures NSSSponents meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and regulatorypliance. The Program Engineer reports to the Senior Manager, NSSS System Engineering and plays a key role in both strategic and operational execution. The position supports functional area leadership by driving long-term planning, coordinating day-to-day technical work activities, optimizing resource utilization, and aligning engineering priorities with project needs. Through proactive issue identification, cross functional coordination, and effectivemunication, the Program Engineer helps ensure predictable project delivery, efficient use of resources, and the overall technical success of the NSSS engineeringanization.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Work with discipline managers and project teams to plan project work that requires resources from the functional area. Develop detailed execution plans for internal andmercial projects, maintain andmunicate the status of work activities, and analyze project cost and schedule data to assess project health. Identify issues, trends, and leading indicators to rmend changes to execution strategy and proactively address project challenges. Synthesize data into actionable insights for discipline managers. Support effective work execution in the functional area by monitoring and measuring resource allocation and leveling, supporting the development of hiring plans, and coordinating with project teams to address emergent issues to ensure efficient use of resources. Monitor and provide insights onanizational health signals such as workload imbalances,munication gaps, and work process deviations. Recognize opportunities for and help implement work process initiatives. Represent the functional area in coordination meetings, reporting, and othermunications related to planning, execution, and resource management. Interface with project teams on behalf of discipline managers and leads to support work planning, schedule status updates, periodic reporting, evaluation of technical and performance risks, and functional area inputs to project change orders. Coordinate with otheranizational areas (e.g., Licensing, QA, Supply Chain) and project teams to plan the implementation of approved design changes and project scopes that require planning inputs from the functional area, including the development of detailed scope descriptions and resource estimates. Work closely with counterpart roles in other engineering functional areas to ensure consistent processes, d priorities, and smooth collaboration. Facilitate resolution of cross-functional work issues like scope ownership, project handoffs, and resource needs to support successful project execution. Serve as the initial/primary point of contact for initiation of new project scope and coordinate planning activities with leadership in the functional area. Supporting the functional managers, prepare functional area resource estimates and execution plans for newmercial projects andmunicate with project teams regarding resource availability and/or hiring needs prior to project initiation. Identify operational inefficiencies and support department,anization, and enterprise process improvement and standardization initiatives that prioritize productivity and value. Maintainanized, accessible documentation for planning, project execution, and reporting within the functional area. Standardize internal processes for project tracking, handoffs, decision-making, andmunication. Support execution of contract work by developing technical statements of work, coordinating development of technical inputs to supplier work, and supporting or providing technical oversight of subcontract work. Perform other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM
SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS AND ABILITIES
Education/Certification:
A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or construction management is required.
Experience:
Minimum of 8+ years' experience working in a project-oriented work environment is required, preferably in the nuclear or power industries. Demonstrated understanding of engineering and/or manufacturing projects and terminology based on past work required. Solid technical writing and presentation skills and goodmunication,puter, presentation and interpersonal skills required.
Industry Requirements:
Eligible to work under Department of Energy 10 CFR Part 810.

Pay and Benefits:
The target pay range for this position is $127,104 - $153,401 annually. The full pay range is $113,955 - $178,237 annually. At NuScale,pensation decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, full-time working experience, education and training, equity within the department.
