Senior Systems Engineer - Google Workspace

Job Description The Senior Systems Analyst Engineer serves as the technical owner and subject matter expert for Google Workspace and ChromeOS, operating within a hybrid environment where Microsoft 365 is primary. This role is responsible for scaling, securing, and optimizing the Google ecosystem to meet enterprise standards. This individual leads administration, governance, and platform strategy across Google Workspace tools (Gmail, Drive, Docs, Meet, Chat) while managing ChromeOS device lifecycle and policies at scale. The role also includes ownership of Gemini AI administration, ensuring responsible use, access control, and data protection. The Senior Systems Analyst Engineer partners closely with Security, Endpoint, and IT teams to define clear operational boundaries between platforms, strengthen governance, and drive process improvements. This role also owns vendor relationships, licensing strategy, and automation efforts while providing Tier 3 support and documentation to support long-term scalability and operational excellence. • 5-10 years of experience administering Google Workspace in an enterprise environment with Google Workspace Admin Console (users, groups, OUs, permissions)
• Experience managing ChromeOS devices at scale (enrollment, policies, lifecycle)
• Experience working in a hybrid environment (Google Workspace + Microsoft 365)
• Strong background in security, identity management, and governance
• Experience administering or supporting enterprise AI tools (Gemini or similar)
• Experience owning vendor relationships and licensing management
• Google Workspace or ChromeOS certifications
• Experience with Google Vault, retention, and eDiscovery
• Exposure to automation (Apps Script, APIs)
