Initial 6‑month cloud migration with strong extension potential Overview We are seeking a highly skilled Azure Engineer to support a large‑scale Azure cloud migration and system refresh initiative . This role will play a critical part in designing, building, securing, and supporting Azure infrastructure as the client transitions workloads to the cloud over the next six months. The position is fully remote and supports a federal environment, requiring an active Secret clearance and Security+ certification. Key Responsibilities Design, build, and configure Azure infrastructure including Azure Virtual Machines, VNETs, NSGs, storage accounts, Azure Load Balancer, and Azure PaaS services Deploy and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and infrastructure automation practices Monitor system performance, availability, and security using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Azure Security Center, and Application Insights Troubleshoot Azure infrastructure, networking, and platform issues in a production environment Support automation and scripting efforts using PowerShell and Bash Implement cloud security controls, governance policies, and best practices aligned to federal requirements Collaborate with architects, DevOps, and security teams during the cloud migration lifecycle Required Technical Skills Hands‑on experience with Microsoft Azure core services Strong experience with Azure compute, storage, networking, and PaaS offerings Experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and automation Proficiency with PowerShell and/or Bash scripting Knowledge of cloud security, identity management, governance, and monitoring Experience supporting production cloud environments and troubleshooting complex issues Required Qualifications Active Secret Clearance (required to start) CompTIA Security+ (required) Experience supporting or migrating systems to Azure in an enterprise or government environment Strong communication skills and ability to work independently in a 100% remote setting Everforth Apex is a world-class IT services company that serves thousands of clients across the globe.
