Job Description

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking an Engagement Architect to support a company focused on secure cloud modernization, enterprise architecture, and compliance-driven technology transformation . This position is remote. The Engagement Architect will lead cloud and security architecture engagements, guiding customers through strategy, design, and implementation across AWS, Azure, and GCP environments. This is an opportunity to play a key role in mission-critical modernization efforts while helping organizations build secure, compliant, and scalable cloud solutions. Responsibilities for the Engagement Architect include: Lead customer discovery workshops and gather business and technical requirements. Design secure cloud architectures across AWS, Azure, and GCP environments while incorporating Infrastructure-as-Code methodologies. Develop architecture roadmaps, technical documentation, migration strategies, and deployment plans using Terraform. Partner with customer application teams and implementation teams to identify dependencies, manage modernization initiatives, and support deployments. Serve as a trusted advisor and technical lead, providing cloud strategy guidance and ensuring successful project outcomes. Required Qualifications for the Engagement Architect include: 6+ years of security engineering, systems engineering, or architecture experience. 5+ years of cloud architecture experience supporting AWS, Azure, and/or GCP environments. Experience designing secure cloud solutions in regulated environments utilizing NIST 800-53, FedRAMP, and/or CMMC frameworks. Hands-on experience with cloud security, identity and access management, Terraform, and enterprise security tools. Strong knowledge of technologies such as Active Directory, Okta, Entra ID, Duo, CrowdStrike, Splunk, Tenable, and related security solutions. Experience working within Agile environments and supporting customer-facing consulting or professional services engagements. Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance; active clearance preferred. Compensation for the Engagement Architect include:
Salary Range:
$125,000 - $150,000 depending on experience
