Raytheon's Airborne Multi-Mission Electronics Department, part of Integrated Electrical Solution mission area, is seeking an experienced Firmware Design Engineer to design and develop power conversion technologies for airborne military applications. This 1st shift role is 100% onsite and based in Goleta, CA. What You Will Do Support work in the Hardware/Firmware Engineering Department at the Electronic Warfare Systems Support work on new product development based on descriptions and specifications provided by our customers. Partner with integrated product teams to design, develop, and manufacture complex state-of-the-art systems for airborne, naval, and land-based military applications. Activities include detailed digital design, embedded systems, and FPGA development. Complete specific tasks including circuit analysis, circuit simulation, FPGA programming, design documentation, design verification and testing, and integration of hardware and software at the level of electronic components and circuit boards. Qualifications You Must Have Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior work experience. Experience with basic lab equipment (i.e. oscilloscopes, signal generators, etc.). Experience using engineering tools (i.e. Vivado, Quartus, etc.) for design (i.e. VHDL, Verilog, etc.). Qualifications We Prefer Digital Signal Processing Intel/Altera and/or AMD/Xilinx FPGAs Designing in Matlab/Simulink with DSP Builder and HDL Coder blocksets Digital hardware design and firmware integration RF Signal Processing Experience working in a team environment. The salary range for this role is 75,800 USD - 144,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
