We are hiring a Manager, Workplace Collaboration Technologies to join our IT Infrastructure team. We are looking for candidates who are able to work onsite at various corporate locations in Muscatine, IA four days a week (M-Th). Candidates seeking remote work arrangements will not be considered. Relocation assistance is available for candidates able to relocate to the Quad Cities Metro Region.
•The Manager, Digital Collaboration is responsible for leading and enhancing the enterprise digital collaboration experience across HNI. This highly visible role ensures that members can communicate, collaborate, share content, and work effectively across corporate, manufacturing, and remote work environments.
The manager provides leadership and operational oversight for Microsoft 365 collaboration services including Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Exchange Online, and related productivity platforms. This position partners closely with Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, Identity, Enterprise Applications, Communications, vendors, and business stakeholders to establish standards, govern platform usage, drive adoption, and support business priorities.
This role requires a self-motivated, service-oriented leader who can balance strategic planning with hands-on execution, manage multiple priorities, and foster innovation, productivity, and security across the digital workplace.
•Essential Duties
Digital Collaboration Strategy & Governance
Define and execute the enterprise digital collaboration strategy in alignment with HNI business priorities.
Establish and maintain governance, standards, and usage best practices for Microsoft 365 collaboration platforms.
Develop multi-year roadmaps and modernization plans for collaboration services.
Partner with business leaders and IT teams to align collaboration capabilities with operational needs.
Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation.
Microsoft 365 Platform Leadership
Own lifecycle management for Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Exchange Online, and related collaboration services.
Lead planning, implementation, governance, support, and continuous improvement of collaboration platforms.
Ensure consistent, reliable, and secure collaboration experiences across all member populations.
Establish operational procedures, service standards, technical documentation, and platform best practices.
Participate in escalation support and troubleshooting for critical collaboration services.
Collaboration Adoption & Member Experience
Drive enterprise adoption of collaboration tools through communication, training, demonstrations, and enablement activities.
Identify opportunities to improve member productivity and the overall digital workplace experience.
Promote standardization and effective collaboration practices across business units.
Champion user-centered design, service excellence, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Integration, Automation & AI
Lead integration of collaboration platforms with business applications, workflows, and enterprise services.
Partner with application and development teams to improve business processes and member experiences.
Evaluate and implement automation and AI-enabled productivity capabilities within the Microsoft platform.
Support modernization efforts that leverage Microsoft 365, Power Platform, and related cloud services.
Vendor & Relationship Management
Build and maintain strong relationships with Microsoft, strategic suppliers, managed service providers, and support organizations.
Coordinate licensing, vendor roadmaps, service performance, and value realization activities.
Partner with other departments of IT to resolve issues related to infrastructure, identity, cybersecurity, applications, and end-user support.
Identify opportunities for innovation, service optimization, cost management, and improved supplier performance.
Team Leadership & Operational Excellence
Lead, coach, and develop digital collaboration team members and future leaders.
Foster a high-touch service model focused on member productivity, satisfaction, and business outcomes.
Share and demonstrate what is possible with collaboration technologies to members and business leaders.
Monitor platform performance, utilization, adoption, service quality, and satisfaction metrics.
Ensure compliance with cybersecurity, privacy, retention, records management, and regulatory requirements.
Support disaster recovery and business continuity planning for collaboration services.
Maintain security-first decision making across all collaboration initiatives.
