Member of Technical Staff -
In your daily job you will: Technical LeadershipServe as technical lead for major features and projectsDesign and architect complex system components and solutionsProvide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineersReview code, designs, and architecture decisionsDrive technical standards and best practices within the team Development & ImplementationDevelop and maintain embedded Linux systems softwareWork on user space applications, kernel modules, or toolchain componentsImplement new features and enhancements based on requirementsDebug and resolve complex technical issuesWrite high-quality, maintainable code following team standards Team CollaborationCollaborate with cross-functional teams (product, QA, support)Coordinate with distributed teams across US, Romania, and IndiaParticipate in code reviews and technical discussionsShare knowledge through documentation, presentations, and mentoringContribute to team planning and estimation

The Member of Technical Staff (MTS) - Systems is a senior individual contributor role that provides technical leadership and expertise for complex systems engineering projects. QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field8+ years of software engineering experience5+ years of experience with embedded Linux or systems programmingExperience leading technical projects and mentoring engineersStrong background in C/C++ programmingExpert-level proficiency in C/C++ programmingDeep understanding of Linux kernel architecture and internalsExperience with embedded systems developmentKnowledge of build systems (Yocto, Buildroot, or similar)Strong debugging and problem-solving skillsExperience with version control (Git) and code review processesUnderstanding of software development lifecycle and agile methodologiesLinux kernel development and maintenanceUser space application developmentCompiler toolchains and build systemsDevice drivers and hardware abstractionSystem architecture and designSecurity and CVE managementCandidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis - without requirement for any type of visa sponsorship/transfer, now, or at any time in future. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire.Must be a local resident of Greater Austin, TX
