Job Description

Our client is currently seeking a
Physical System Engineer:
Hybrid Remote - Mondays and Fridays Remote Responsibilities Core Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and configure complex security systems including access control, visual controls, IoT, intrusion, and other specialized technical physical security systems.
  • Provide specialized technical support to ensure the efficient operation and maintenance of all related Technical Security Systems.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert, and support and maintain physical security management systems and applications.
  • Debug and resolve application, database, operating system, and network issues for both pc's and servers with a variety of operating system combinations, server hardware, and network topologies in partnership with Database and Network teams, as well as 3rd party vendors.
  • Work on the rollout of new systems and remediation of existing systems while coordinating with project managers and physical security team members.
  • Ensure the quality of services and solutions to application user base, other application owners and IT technical teams.
  • Ability to generate and manage status reports, meeting minutes, and change or outage notifications.
Qualifications Skills and Abilities Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrate proficiency skills and deep technical knowledge of the design, programming and troubleshooting of one or more of the following: card access systems, integrated security systems, hybrid IT-based video systems, or related information technology systems required. Ability to train others. Experience working with design, installation, integration, and federation of Global Access Control and IP Video Management systems, preferably working in the Genetec unified platform. Experience administering integrated Access Control and Video (CCTV) Systems (i.e. Genetec, AXIS).
