(can work a hybrid schedule - remote and in-person). Position Summary The Senior Microsoft Power Platform Engineer is responsible for the design, administration, and continuous improvement of the enterprise Power Platform environment. This role owns the platform that connects critical care systems, delivers actionable data and insights to organizational leaders, and streamlines workflows to improve operational efficiency. Reporting directly to the Director of Information Technology, this position collaborates closely with leadership, and program teams to develop innovative technology solutions that support organizational goals and enhance service delivery. All employees are expected to center, model, and champion Hammer's core values: Person-Centered, Relational, Opportunistic and Stewardship. Primary Duties and Responsibilities 1. Data Architecture and Integration (40%) Design and implement data integrations between core systems and Microsoft 365 to create a unified data model. Manage ETL pipelines, data flows, and data governance. Document dependencies and establish operational practices. Troubleshoot data quality issues and recommend solutions to improve data accuracy and consistency. 2. Platform Support and Optimization (35%) Own and optimize Power Platform solutions (Power Apps, Power Automate) that automate workflows and improve user experience. Partner with our IT Director and managed services vendor on architecture, SLAs, and vendor alignment. 3. Business Intelligence and Analytics (25&) Develop operational dashboards and reports in Power BI that answer business questions and support data-driven decision-making. Partner with leadership to identify metrics and KPIs that matter for our mission and operations. Translate business questions into dashboards and reports that make data accessible to non-technical users. Essential Knowledge and Qualifications 3+ years of hands-on experience with data architecture, ETL design, SQL, and system integration. 3+ years of experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI) or equivalent low-code platforms. Strong understanding of data architecture patterns, including relational databases, ETL workflows, and data governance. Ability to design solutions independently, make architecture decisions, and troubleshoot complex integration issues. Excellent communication skills. Comfortable translating business needs into technical solutions and explaining complex concepts to non-technical audiences. Experience documenting solutions and establishing operational practices that enable team ownership. Preferred Qualifications Familiarity with Microsoft 365, SharePoint Online, or Azure services preferred. Experience in a working in mid-sized or larger mission based non-profit or healthcare environment preferred. Experience with data visualization tools is preferred. Willingness to manage multiple priorities to ensure work is completed in a timely and productive manner. Experience, ability, and commitment to working with individuals and teams that are mixed across lines of difference such as race, gender-identity, sexual orientation, religion, ability, age, class, and immigrant status. Physical demands include frequent use of a telephone, frequent use of repetitive motion activities including typing on a computer keyboard and the ability to work for the majority of the workday at a desk and computer. Must be willing and able to work flexible hours/days, including occasional evenings and weekends, reflective of the dynamic schedule of the organization.
