Sr Development Engineer, Manhattan Active:

Lead the design, development, testing, and deployment of complex software solutions supporting Manhattan Active WMS. Develop and maintain high-quality applications, integrations, and services using Java and Python. Drive enhancements, configuration, and deployment activities across Development, UAT, and Production environments. Architect and optimize MySQL databases, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance. Design, deploy, and support cloud-based solutions within Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Analyze and resolve complex production issues, serving as a senior-level escalation point for critical incidents. Lead code reviews and champion engineering standards, best practices, and secure coding principles. Partner with architects, product owners, UX/UI teams, and business stakeholders to deliver enterprise solutions. Translate business requirements into scalable technical designs and implementation roadmaps. Define and improve CI/CD pipelines, automated testing strategies, and release processes. Monitor and optimize application performance using observability, logging, and monitoring tools. Drive application modernization, scalability, and operational excellence initiatives. Sr Development Engineer, Manhattan Active Required:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent practical experience) 5+ years of professional software development experience. Strong expertise in Java, including object-oriented design, software architecture, and design patterns. Proficiency in Python for application development, automation, and system integration. Advanced experience with MySQL, including database design, SQL optimization, and performance tuning. Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services and cloud engineering best practices. Experience with Git-based development workflows and branching strategies. Strong understanding of APIs, microservices, software testing, and application lifecycle management. Knowledge of CI/CD practices and modern DevOps methodologies. Experience working within cloud environments such as GCP, Azure, or AWS. Strong analytical thinking, troubleshooting, and technical decision-making capabilities. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Demonstrated experience mentoring engineers and leading technical initiatives.
