McLane Company is building a cloud-native Enterprise Integration Platform (EIP) on Google Cloud to power enterprise connectivity, event-driven workflows, and data orchestration at scale. We're hiring a Senior Platform Engineer to own the infrastructure, automation, and reliability behind this platform. This is a high-impact role focused on full automation, zero manual provisioning, and enabling engineering teams through self-service capabilities. This is a hybrid position which will require the candidate to report and work from the office at least three days a week. Therefore, interested candidates should be within a 50-minute radius from Temple, TX.

Platform Engineer:
Design and implement platform infrastructure and automation for integration services. Build and maintain Terraform modules and provisioning pipelines. Develop and operate CI/CD pipelines (build, test, deploy). Manage runtime environments (Cloud Run, containers, distributed workloads). Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability. Ensure security, IAM, and network configuration across platform services. Enable teams with self-service infrastructure and standard patterns. Troubleshoot platform, networking, and deployment issues. Drive automation and operational excellence across the platform. Qualifications you'll bring as a Sr.
Platform Engineer:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Data, or related field. 7+ years in platform engineering, DevOps, SRE, or cloud infrastructure. Strong experience with GCP, AWS, or Azure in distributed systems. Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform). Experience building CI/CD pipelines and automation frameworks. Solid understanding of networking, security, and identity management. Hands-on with monitoring and observability tools. Experience supporting multi-team platforms at scale.
Tech Environment:
GCP (Cloud Run, Pub/Sub, IAM, VPC), Apigee X, Terraform, Docker, Cloud Build, GitHub Actions, Kafka, Dynatrace. This position requires the ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely. This includes understanding work instructions, safety protocols, and communications essential to the role.
