Job Description About the Role GDIT's Emerge Labs is seeking a senior‑level Cloud and Identity Engineer to architect, deploy, and support modern multi‑cloud environments with a primary focus on AWS. This Cloud SME role blends technical engineering expertise with a strong customer‑support mission—ensuring that every cloud service, automation, and infrastructure component is fully delivered, functioning correctly, and meeting customer expectations. You will work onsite in Falls Church, VA and serve as a trusted technical partner to both internal teams and Emerge Labs internal customers. Key Responsibilities Architect, build, and support multi‑cloud environments across AWS, Azure, and GCP. Acts as an Okta/Identity SME for the GDIT Emerge Labs Oversee Emerge Labs certificate infrastructure and DNS Deploy and manage AWS multi‑tenant account structures, including networking, identity, governance, and security controls. Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for IaC deployments to ensure consistent, reliable, and repeatable delivery. Serve as a Tier 3 escalation point, providing timely resolution and clear communication to Emerge Labs customers. Ensure that cloud services and deployments are fully delivered, validated, documented, and functioning as expected. Work directly with customers to understand requirements, track progress, resolve issues, and confirm successful delivery. Partner with internal engineering, cybersecurity, and operations teams to maintain secure and compliant cloud environments.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED

Education:
Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science Experience:
10+ years of related experience Technical skills: Proven experience deploying and managing AWS multi‑tenant environments using IaC such as Terraform and/or Ansible/YAML. Proven experience with complex design and implementation of Okta/Identity federation solution (Okta workflow automation experience is a plus) Hand-on experience with deploying Certificate Authority and managing DNS Working knowledge with Microsoft AD server and Linux operating systems Strong cloud networking background (Zscaler, routing, VPCs, security groups, Route53).

This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
