This is a full-time, remote position with on-site travel to client facilities as projects require, including possible multi-day trips. You'll lead projects such as virtualized server deployments, Active Directory implementations for new facilities, network segmentation, cloud migrations, and hybrid infrastructure builds. We're looking for someone who can scope work, make sound design decisions, carry projects through implementation, and hand off stable systems with clear documentation. Responsibilities Design and deploy Windows Server environments, Active Directory forests and domains, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and Certificate Services. Architect and implement virtualization environments using VMware vSphere/ESXi, Hyper-V, or similar platforms, including storage, networking, and high availability. Design network infrastructure, including VLAN segmentation, firewall policies, VPN connectivity, and integrations with site-specific systems. Lead infrastructure projects from requirements gathering and design through implementation, testing, and handoff. Produce architecture diagrams, design documents, runbooks, and as-built documentation. Implement Microsoft 365 and Azure services, including Entra ID, Conditional Access, Intune, and hybrid identity. Write PowerShell or other scripts to automate deployments, configurations, and recurring tasks. Support tenant hardening, vulnerability remediation, and security controls aligned with client requirements. Follow client change management processes, including preparing change requests and participating in reviews. Mentor junior administrators and share technical knowledge with the team. Qualifications 5-8+ years of experience in systems engineering, infrastructure design, or senior systems administration. Deep knowledge of Windows Server (2016-2025), Active Directory design, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and PKI/Certificate Services. Strong experience designing, deploying, and troubleshooting VMware vSphere/ESXi and/or Hyper-V environments. Solid networking skills, including VLAN design, firewall configuration, VPN implementation, routing fundamentals, and switch management. Experience designing and deploying infrastructure for new sites or facilities. PowerShell proficiency for automation, deployment, and configuration management. Ability to create clear architecture diagrams, design documents, SOPs, and runbooks. Proven ability to scope, plan, execute, and deliver infrastructure projects independently. Ability to travel to client facilities as projects require, including possible multi-day trips. Nice to Have Experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing, life sciences, defense, or other regulated environments. Familiarity with GxP, CMMC, HIPAA, or formal change management requirements. Experience with OT networks, manufacturing control systems, SCADA, or industrial automation infrastructure. Microsoft 365 and Azure experience, including Entra ID, Conditional Access, Intune, Azure networking, and hybrid identity. Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or Bicep, CI/CD pipelines, or configuration management tools. Experience with on-premises or VMware migrations to Azure. Experience working with ITIL, ServiceNow, or site-specific quality management systems. Certifications such as AZ-104, AZ-305, CompTIA Security+, CCNA, or VCP. Why Join Us?
