LPL Financial Job Description We are seeking an experienced AWS Infrastructure Engineer to join our team supporting critical infrastructure for LPL Financial in Fort Mill, SC. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience designing, implementing, automating, and supporting AWS infrastructure in an enterprise environment. Key Responsibilities Design, build, configure, and maintain highly available AWS infrastructure.
Manage AWS services including EC2, VPC, S3, IAM, CloudFormation/Terraform, RDS, ELB, Route 53, CloudWatch, and related services.
Implement infrastructure as code using Terraform and/or CloudFormation.
Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and application deployments.
Configure and manage networking components including VPCs, subnets, security groups, NACLs, VPNs, load balancers, and routing.
Implement AWS security, access controls, encryption, monitoring, and compliance best practices.
Monitor infrastructure performance, availability, capacity, and security.
Troubleshoot complex infrastructure, networking, and application connectivity issues.
Automate operational processes using Python, PowerShell, Bash, or similar scripting languages.
Support cloud migration, modernization, and infrastructure transformation initiatives.
Implement backup, disaster recovery, high availability, and business continuity solutions.
Work closely with application, DevOps, security, networking, and operations teams.
Participate in incident response, root-cause analysis, and production support activities.
Maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, runbooks, and operational procedures.
Follow enterprise change-management, security, and governance standards. Required Skills & Experience 5+ years of experience in infrastructure, cloud engineering, systems engineering, or a related field.
Strong hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS).
Strong knowledge of EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, RDS, ELB/ALB/NLB, Route 53, CloudWatch, KMS, and related AWS services.
Experience with Terraform and/or CloudFormation.
Strong understanding of AWS networking and security.
Experience with Linux and/or Windows Server administration.
Experience with scripting/automation using Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
Experience with Git, Jenkins, GitLab, Azure DevOps, or similar CI/CD tools.
Understanding of DevOps practices and infrastructure automation.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Preferred Qualifications AWS Certified Solutions Architect, SysOps Administrator, or DevOps Engineer certification.
Experience supporting financial services or other highly regulated enterprise environments.
Experience with Kubernetes/EKS, Docker, or containerized workloads.
Experience with centralized logging and monitoring tools.
Knowledge of security and compliance frameworks.
Experience with enterprise-scale cloud migration and hybrid-cloud environments.
