Candidates should possess these traits and abilities: The MES Engineer is responsible for project execution from concept to commissioning. Architect and lead the implementation of Manufacturing Execution System (MES) and system integration solutions projects An MES Engineer will Develop Business Intelligence solutions for factory-floor customers in diverse industrial environments. Demonstrate willingness to expand capabilities to other automation disciplines (e.g. - SCADA programming, motion control, etc.) Solve problems and learn quickly. An MES Engineer will provide technical competence during project execution. Help in the design and implementation of control systems Requires only periodic direction from the Project Manager An MES Engineer will demonstrate strong communication with colleagues, management, and customers. Completes tasks on schedule Complies with the rules, procedures and policies as delivered by the organization Get the appropriate colleague, manager or customer involved to resolve issues early on in the development process. Identify changes in scope and notify Project Manager in a timely manner An MES Engineer will develop approaches to solve problems, handle customer demands, changes, and complaints. Guide less experienced employees technically Contribute a broad technical competence to the team, along with superior communication, correspondence, and mediation skills Assist in managing project's resources, schedule, budget, and scope Provides input and resolves issues during the Estimating processes An MES Engineer will create Functional Requirements Specification documents with the corresponding FAT and SAT plans. This position will require about 30-40% travel, mostly domestic but some international travel may be required.
