Job Requirements Fort Belvoir, VA Clearance Unspecified Polygraph not specified Career Level not specified Salary not specified Join Premium to unlock estimated salaries Job Description We are seeking an AWS Cloud Engineer to help build, configure, and maintain cloud environments in AWS GovCloud. The engineer will support cloud infrastructure, security, networking, monitoring, and automation for government/DoD environments. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with AWS services and understands basic cloud security and infrastructure management. Responsibilities
- Build, configure, and maintain AWS cloud environments.
- Deploy and manage AWS resources such as EC2, VPCs, S3, IAM, CloudWatch, and Load Balancers.
- Configure AWS networking, including VPCs, subnets, security groups, routing, and Transit Gateway.
- Manage user access and permissions using AWS IAM.
- Monitor cloud systems using CloudWatch, CloudTrail, and AWS Config.
- Support cloud security and compliance requirements in government environments.
- Assist with vulnerability management, patching, and system configuration.
- Use Terraform or CloudFormation to automate cloud infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot AWS infrastructure, networking, and access issues.
- Work with development and IT teams to deploy and maintain applications in AWS.
- Document cloud configurations, procedures, and changes. Required Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with AWS infrastructure and services.
- Understanding of AWS networking, security groups, routing, and subnets.
- Experience with Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Understanding of cloud security and government/DoD environments.
- Ability to troubleshoot AWS infrastructure and connectivity issues.
- Security+ or another DoD-approved security certification preferred.
