Job Description

Are you excited to shape enterprise-wide technology strategy and architect the future of scalable, cloud-native platforms? Join us as a Senior Enterprise Architect and drive modernization across a complex, global technology ecosystem. The Senior Enterprise Architect enables business and IT leaders to make investment decisions that balance and prioritize current operational demands, disruptions, and opportunities with the organization's longer-term strategic vision. Furthermore, the enterprise architect provides technology guidance, road maps, principles, standards, and best practices. This position works with the organization's Engineering, Operations, Security, and Product Management. What You'll Do Lead enterprise-wide infrastructure and application modernization initiatives Develop reference architectures for cloud-native, event-driven, and data platforms Perform gap analysis between current and target architectures, defining transition states Conduct feasibility and cost-benefit analyses for major architecture decisions Ensure scalability, interoperability, and resilience of BERT and enterprise platforms Evaluate emerging technologies through structured horizon scanning Partner with product and engineering teams to optimize system design and performance Define non-functional requirements (security, reliability, observability) Hands-on, detailed knowledge of Azure cloud components and architecture is desirable. Experience with recent artificial intelligence tools. Involvement in setting the short-term and long-term direction of technology for CFA applications. Provide leadership when applications require guidance on evaluating and properly using new technologies. Participate in the EA review board and ensure solutions comply with target-state architecture models. Work with business leaders to understand business requirements and help them understand how technology tradeoffs influence strategy. What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, computer engineering, system analysis, or a related field, or equivalent work experience. Demonstrated experience leading enterprise infrastructure modernization programs Experience architecting large-scale, multi-application platforms (microservices / APIs / event-driven) Proven ability to perform gap analysis, business case development, and architecture tradeoff analysis Strong understanding of data architecture and lifecycle management and integration patterns (API, messaging, ETL) Experience balancing technical strategy with financial and operational outcomes Experience in a multinational environment is a plus. Hands-on, detailed knowledge of AWS cloud components and architecture is required. Fluency in English required Must demonstrate outstanding stewardship and relationship-building to expand the mission of the CFA Institute Global cultural orientation and working experience Requires exposure to multiple diverse technologies and processing environments. Excellent interpersonal skills, including a professional and diplomatic demeanor Excellent communication skills, including written, verbal, listening, and presentation The ability to create new and unique ideas is a plus. Proficient in using standard office software such as Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook, drawing tools such as LucidChart, and collaboration tools, specifically Jira and Confluence. Very high level of organizational and time management skills Flexibility in competently juggling competing priorities and changing expectations Must demonstrate outstanding judgment and mature business skills with the ability to establish a strong rapport with senior management Excellent consulting, problem-solving, and analytical skills Willingness to ask questions rather than follow directions is required. All salary ranges are subject to adjustment based on experience, education, and other factors relevant to the position. Additional benefits include eligibility for an annual incentive bonus, a 12% employer contribution to a 401(k) or pension plan, and a comprehensive medical benefits package.
