Clarificion from the agency (1) Arkansas Air Nional Guard (AR ANG) Technicians; (2) All members of the AR ANG, (3) Individuals who are not members of the Nional Guard but who are eligible to acquire membership in an available and compible military grade for excepted technician positions. (Upon selection, must be a member of the AR Air Nional Guard). Duties Help (1) Inities and implements policies and procedures required to manage sensitive compartmented informion (SCI) programs and to protect SCI resources. Acts as resident expert on all SCI security mters. Functions as the technical authority in all other areas of classified security and classificion guidance. Duties require incumbent to maintain currency on a variety of different security program interrelionships, requirements, regulions and guidance in order to apply this knowledge to protect SCI facilities and merials from espionage, sabotage, and destruction. (2) Establishes policies and procedures for accomplishment of SCI protection and security. Develops goals and objectives th integre organizional missions and security requirements. Researches, interprets, analyzes and applies Presidential Executive Orders, Director Central Intelligence Directives (DCIDs), Defense Intelligence Agency Manuals, DoD Manuals, Air Force Manuals, Air Force Instructions, and local Opering Instructions. (3) Serves as the SCI Control Officer responsible for establishing, managing, and controlling all colleral and SCI classified informion and merial within the Sensitive Compartmented Informion Facilities (SCIFs) affecting the Unit's mission. Ensures SCIFs comply with all applicable construction and physical requirements, standards, and regulions as delineed by higher headquarters. (4) Works directly for the intelligence unit commander/Senior Intelligence Officer (SIO), reporting on the administrion of the Special Security Office and SCI-associed security programs. Determines the need for, development of, and maintenance of current Memorandums of Agreement with organizions to ensure adherence to security standards. Serves as the principal advisor to the intelligence unit commander/SIO on SCI, physical, computer, informion, personnel, and administrive security. Recommends or makes changes in unit security policy and directives, based on personal analysis of very general policy directives and objectives. Affects waivers to established guides to meet command operional requirements (5) Manages and directs the activities and personnel of the unit Special Security Office. Plans and supervises work accomplished by assigned subordines. Sets and adjusts short-term priorities and prepares schedules based on organizion priorities and missions. Accepts, amends, or rejects work presented by subordines. (6) Appoints Local SCI courier officials th have a requirement to courier SCI on base and coordines with the Defense Courier Service (DCS). (7) Administers the SCI security clearance program for all assigned personnel, ensuring all required clearances are up-to-de and completed. Tracks and administers SCI clearances for all in-processing personnel to ensure mission readiness. Termines or transfers SCI clearances for out-processing personnel. Provides SSO services for other units loced within the same geographic area. Incumbent meets with key customers to assess customer sisfaction and resolve problems th arise. Ensures th subordines provide customer guidance and training. (8) Provides oversight of unit and SSO security self-inspections and presents detailed and comprehensive reports with corrective action taken to the unit intelligence commander/SIO. Follows-up to ensure complete and quality resolution of discrepancies. Assesses and revises policies and procedures to improve their quality, timeliness, and efficiency. (9) Represents the intelligence unit to a variety of installion and functional areas, including nional-level organizions. Incumbent interfaces directly with DoD, Defense Intelligence Agency, Nional Security Agency, US Air Force, Air Intelligence Agency, major commands, combant commands, and other nional-level agencies to evalue, guide, and adjust unit programs to meet changing security needs and requirements as personally assessed or as directed. Upon selection, must complete mandory Full-Time Support (FTS) Training the Professional Educion Center (PEC) within six months of assignment (if applicable, training coordined by the supervisor). Individual must meet all military requirements of the position without creing a grade inversion, as determined by the Human Resources Office (HRO). Technicians will not be militarily senior to their full-time supervisor or wage leader (Grade Inversion). Enlisted members currently a higher grade than allowed by the position (see Military Grade Requirement above) may apply; however, they must administrively reduce prior to appointment and provide confirmion of the reduction to

Qualificions
GENERAL EXPERIENCE
Experience, educion or training in collecting and analyzing da effectively, efficiently, and accurely. Able to apply procedures and directives by reading and interpreting technical merial. Ability to communice clearly and effectively orally and in writing, using presention and report forms. Demonstred ability to follow directions, to read, understand, and retain a variety of instructions, regulions, and procedures. Learned ability to assess the surrounding environment to recognize immedie risk levels. Must have the educion and valided understanding of the basic principles and concepts of the occupional series and grade for one of the seven organizional program disciplines and its applicable Security Series career.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE
: 1 year equivalent to least GS-09- Experience th equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and th is typically in or reled to the work of the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to least the next lower grade level in the normal line of progression for the occupion in the organizion.
