This is an onsite role in Cupertino, CA.
Contract duration:
12 months Experience required
Network Engineer Skills:
Network+ and/or CCNA level experiences with VLAN, STP, VTP, ARP, HSRP, TACACS, RADIUS, and basic layer-3 routing. Familiar with Wireshark, and/or tcpdump for packet analysis. Familiar with network monitoring and understanding of SNMPv3, MIBs and OIDs. Basic understanding of layer-4 and firewall/NAT knowledge. Daily responsibilities Basic layer-2 troubleshooting and administration of IOS-XE (Cisco), NX-OS (Cisco), and EOS (Arista) switches. Proactively monitor network devices via network monitoring tools, and Splunk syslog logging. Operate and manage Opengear console server for in-band and out-of-band management. Collaborate with other teams for network triage and escalation. Setting up and burn-in of network devices, including switches, routers, firewalls, and out-of-band console server. Perform inventory of physical and logical network devices, assist with quotes for hardware procurement.
