The ideal candidate will possess strong hands-on experience in systems administration, Linux, networking, cloud technologies, and cybersecurity. This position supports enterprise infrastructure, modernization initiatives, and secure cloud-based environments. Primary Responsibilities- Administer and maintain Windows and Linux server environments.
- Support enterprise cloud environments including AWS and/or Azure.
- Implement and maintain cybersecurity best practices and security controls.
- Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot network infrastructure and services.
- Perform system monitoring, patch management, vulnerability remediation, and performance optimization.
- Support backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity initiatives.
- Assist with system architecture, modernization efforts, and technology refresh initiatives.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts using PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
- Collaborate with software developers, engineers, and stakeholders to support mission requirements.
- Evaluate and integrate emerging technologies, including AI-enabled solutions where applicable.
Salary Range:
$90,000.00 to $175,000 Required Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience with Linux Administration.
- Experience with Systems Administration.
- Experience with Networking and Infrastructure Support.
- Experience implementing Cybersecurity best practices.
- Experience supporting Cloud Environments (AWS and/or Azure).
- Experience with scripting and automation (PowerShell, Bash, Python).
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.
- Hands-on technical experience may be valued more highly rather than education and certifications. Desired Qualifications
- Active Secret clearance preferred.
- Experience supporting Department of Defense, Federal Government, or NASA environments.
- Docker and container technologies.
- Kubernetes administration.
- DevSecOps practices and toolsets.
- Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible).
- Software development experience.
- Systems engineering experience.
- Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning experience. Certification Requirements
- Security+ CE (required within six months of hire, if contractually required).
- CISSP (preferred).
- CASP+ (preferred).
- CCNA (preferred).
- Linux+ (preferred).
- AWS Solutions Architect (preferred).
- Microsoft Azure Administrator (preferred). Candidate Profile
- Hands-on technical experience is valued more highly than certifications alone.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently in a dynamic DoD environment.
- Adaptable, self-motivated, and technically curious.
- Capable of supporting both current operations and future modernization efforts.
