Security + DevOps Engineer/Architect | Greater LA Area (Relocation OK) | On-site | ~$110k Next Orbit Inc Orange County, CA Job Details Full-time | Contract $100,000 - $110,000 a year 11 hours ago Qualifications DevSecOps Practices DevOps Security engineering Docker WAN Network monitoring VPN management CompTIA Security+ Incident response implementation Full Job Description We are looking for a Senior Cybersecurity and DevOps Engineer/Architect for a long-term, on-site engagement with a well-established enterprise organization in the Southern California area. The ideal candidate brings a balanced background across security architecture, network security, and DevOps tooling - someone who can operate confidently at the intersection of both disciplines.

Southern California, Orange County (On-site)
Relocation:
Candidates open to relocating to the Southern California area are encouraged to apply. Key Responsibilities Assess and improve security posture across enterprise IT environments Manage vulnerability remediation programs including CVE tracking and resolution Design and maintain secure network infrastructure, including firewalls, VPNs, and network segmentation Lead incident response activities and conduct post-incident analysis Collaborate with DevOps teams to embed security into CI/CD pipelines and development workflows Develop and enforce security standards, policies, and configurations Monitor and test network systems continuously for threats and vulnerabilities Provide technical leadership and mentorship to other team members Required Skills and Experience Hands-on experience: 5 to 7 years in cybersecurity and Infosec engineering Network security background: firewalls, VPNs, LAN/WAN, segmentation Practical experience with DevOps tools: GitHub, Docker, Jenkins, etc. Incident response experience Vulnerability management/remediation experience Security frameworks: familiarity with NIST or Zero Trust architecture Some scripting ability: Python, Bash, or Shell scripting Bonus points: Security certifications such CISSP Communication skills: ability to work with technical and non-technical audience alike Visa and Work Authorization We welcome applications from US Citizens, Green Card holders, TN Visa, and candidates requiring H1B transfer.
