Our rapidly growing high-technology company needs a resourceful Business Development / Sales Manager to cultivate new business opportunities throughout the region. They will need strong communication skills, the ability to work independently and knowledge of the security needs of commercial clients. Attention to detail, the desire to be a team player, and a willingness to work on in the field are key. Description The role of a Business Development / Sales Manager is to hunt for new projects, bring detailed specs to our engineering team, present the proposal, and complete the deal with a signed contract and payment. During the process, you'll be guided by System Engineers and the Owner's direction. It is your role to relay information to respective departments within the company, which include the company Owners, Office Manager, Engineering, and Programming so that these departments can better prepare and plan success for the project. You will also be interacting with other trades on the project, some of which include Electrical, HVAC, Lighting, Landscaping, and General Contractors. - Research and identify new market opportunities
- Create a Business Development plan with timelines and milestones
- Make a list of resources for opportunity hunting Execution
- Work diligently and persistently to develop a book of business
- Reach out to prospects and turn those prospects into customers
- Visit potential clients to evaluate needs and promote products and services
- Use company CRM daily for all activities.
- Give sales presentations to a range of prospective clients
- Attend industry and association meetings to accumulate new leads and make productive contact with existing clients Communication and stakeholder management
- Regularly updating stakeholders on project status
- Communicating project goals and expectations clearly
- Managing stakeholder feedback and concerns Quality control and reporting

- Meet or exceed sales goals
- Negotiate all contracts with prospective clients

- Follow-up Skills Required Communication skills: Excellent written and verbal communication to effectively interact with stakeholders Analytical and problem-solving skills: Ability to identify issues, analyze data, and develop solutions Organizational skills: Attention to detail and ability to manage complex projects with multiple tasks The ability to demonstrate initiative and work and solve technical problems independently and as part of a team The ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently, prioritizing and accurately completing them on time in a potentially stressful environment is required The ability to develop knowledge of, respect for, and skills to engage with those of other cultures or backgrounds is required Low-voltage system installation knowledge including burglar alarms, surveillance cameras, access control, voice and data networks and control systems Ability to read a wide variety of drawings and architectural plans Enters and retrieves data from semi-finished source documents on a PC, requiring interpretation of the source documents and a basic understanding of software parameters Must be willing and able to travel on a daily basis Self-motivated and comfortable working independently A commitment to excellent customer service The position requires work in various locations, such as construction areas.
