Our rapidly growing high-technology company is in need of a resourceful Commercial Project Manager to run projects and crews installing systems in buildings throughout the region. The right candidate is customer-focused, empathetic and ready to direct projects in our target market. They will need strong communication skills, the ability to manage a diverse team and the skills to install sophisticated systems on a construction site or in a commercial setting. Attention to detail, the desire to be a team player, and a willingness to work on in the field are key. The position includes the roles of Project Manager with the knowledge of a Lead Installation Technician. Description The role of a Project Manager is to run the day-to-day production and tasks on the job site per the System Engineers and/or Owner's direction. It is your role to relay information to respective departments within the company, which include the company Owners, Office Manager, Engineering, and Programming so that these departments can better prepare and plan success for the project. You will also be interacting with other trades on the job site, some of which include Electrical, HVAC, Lighting, Landscaping, and General Contractors. The Project Manager will also interface with the Client or Client's representatives and the jobsite Superintendent or Project Manager to ensure the project is meeting their expectations. - Defining project goals, scope, and deliverables
- Creating detailed project plans with timelines and milestones
- Estimating project budget and resource allocation

- Conducting post-project reviews and evaluations Skills Required Leadership and team management: Ability to motivate and guide a team towards project goals Communication skills: Excellent written and verbal communication to effectively interact with stakeholders Analytical and problem-solving skills: Ability to identify issues, analyze data, and develop solutions Organizational skills: Attention to detail and ability to manage complex projects with multiple tasks The ability to demonstrate initiative and work and solve technical problems independently and as part of a team The ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently, prioritizing and accurately completing them on time in a potentially stressful environment is required The ability to develop knowledge of, respect for, and skills to engage with those of other cultures or backgrounds is required Effective oral and written communication and interpersonal skills Low-voltage system installation knowledge including burglar alarms, surveillance cameras, access control, voice and data networks and control systems Ability to read and execute instructions from a wide variety of drawings and architectural plans The ability to use and operate a personal computer, basic cable tester, and other tools and equipment used in the installation, maintenance, and operation of low-voltage systems The ability to interact with all levels of management and co-workers Familiarity with common wiring types including twisted pair, fiber, and AV installation methods and color-coding conventions Enters and retrieves data from semi-finished source documents on a personal computer, requiring interpretation of the source documents and a basic understanding of software parameters Must be willing and able to travel on a daily basis Self-motivated and comfortable working independently A commitment to excellent customer service The position requires climbing ladders, lifting materials, working in ceilings, attics, basements, etc.
