Job Description

Cybersecurity Engineer A top-tier essential infrastructure organization is seeking a high-performing Cybersecurity Engineer to strengthen operations, threat detection, and risk mitigation across complex enterprise networks, multi-cloud platforms, and endpoint environments. In this pivotal role, you will construct detection logic, analyze threat telemetry, drive vulnerability management, and support active incident response to continuously harden system baselines.
Key Responsibilities:
Platform Administration:
Optimize enterprise SIEM, EDR, and IDS/IPS monitoring tools to maximize detection capabilities.
Detection Engineering:
Build alert logic, dashboards, and threat intelligence integrations mapped to the
MITRE ATT&CK
framework.
Threat & Incident Handling:
Perform proactive threat hunting, analyze IOCs, and orchestrate swift incident response actions.
Vulnerability Management:
Direct regular scanning, collaborate with IT on remediation priorities, validate patches, and track risk metrics.
Security Hardening:
Implement least-privilege controls and baseline configurations across Microsoft Azure, virtualized systems (VMware), and containers (Docker, Kubernetes).
Documentation & Strategy:
Maintain technical SOPs, playbooks, and security alignment across enterprise IT and application teams.
Qualifications:
6+ years in cybersecurity engineering, SOC operations, or blue team disciplines. Hands-on administration of SIEM, EDR, and vulnerability scanning solutions. Solid grasp of network protocols, Windows/Linux OS hardening, and deep log analysis. Applied experience securing Microsoft Azure cloud environments.
Preferred:
Security certifications (Security+, CySA+, GCIH, CCSP) or familiarity with
NIST CSF / CIS
Controls.
