Working Title Temporary Threat Mitigation Consultant
Details The University of Iowa Campus Safety is seeking a Temporary Threat Mitigation Consultant. This position is performed fully in person.
Duties to include:
- Conduct threat assessment and monitor potential safety concerns through review of communications and coordination with appropriate internal and external partners.
- Provide personnel security support during high-visibility activities, events, and travel, maintaining situational awareness and readiness to respond to incidents.
- Perform advance planning for events and appearances, including site assessments, identification of emergency procedures, and collaboration with venue security and law enforcement personnel.
- Coordinate and support secure travel logistics, including route planning, escorting, and monitoring for potential risks.

Possession of certification from the Iowa Law Enforcement Academy as a Law Enforcement Officer. Experience in executive support services and risk mitigation.- Valid Driver's license and ability to meet and maintain UI Driving Policy.

- Ability to maintain a professional and respectful demeanor with the public that fosters good relations.
- Demonstrated customer service experience.
- Effective communication skills, oral and written, to interact with people from various backgrounds and cultures.
