This is NOT a remote position. Candidates must be able to work onsite in Clarksville, IN. About the Role CyberDomeUSA is seeking a motivated Entry-Level Cybersecurity Specialist to join our growing security team. This role is ideal for individuals looking to build a strong foundation in cybersecurity while gaining hands-on experience in real-world security operations. You will support daily security activities, help monitor systems, identify vulnerabilities, and assist in protecting the organization's IT infrastructure. Key Responsibilities Monitor security tools, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems for potential threats Review system logs and investigate suspicious or unusual activity Assist in cybersecurity incident response and document findings Perform vulnerability scans and support remediation efforts Manage user access controls and permissions Ensure systems are updated with latest security patches and updates Support compliance efforts (NIST, HIPAA, ISO 27001, etc.) Assist in employee security awareness and training initiatives Maintain accurate documentation of security procedures and policies
Qualifications Required:
Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience) Basic understanding of networking, firewalls, and cybersecurity principles Familiarity with Windows and/or Linux operating systems Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred:
Internship or hands-on experience in cybersecurity Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Network+, or similar Experience with SIEM tools or vulnerability scanning platforms Skills Knowledge of common cyber threats (phishing, malware, ransomware) Understanding of risk assessment and security best practices Ability to work both independently and collaboratively Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Why Join CyberDomeUSA?
