We work closely with our clients to improve and maintain their email security environments—not simply respond when something breaks. We believe security environments are living things that require attention, guidance, and continuous improvement. As Select continues to grow, we are expanding our engineering team and looking for an Email Security Engineer who wants to grow with us. The Role The Email Security Engineer will provide hands-on technical support and security engineering services across Select's customer portfolio. This is a customer-facing engineering position. You will investigate technical issues, administer and optimize email security environments, evaluate security configurations, recommend improvements, document findings, and help customers strengthen their overall email security posture. We don't expect the successful candidate to know everything on day one. We place significant value on technical aptitude, communication, curiosity, ownership, judgment, and the ability to follow an issue through to completion. For candidates with greater experience, there is significant opportunity to assume broader technical responsibility and help shape Select's engineering practices as the company grows. Responsibilities Provide technical engineering support across Select customer environments Administer, troubleshoot, and optimize email security configurations Investigate technical issues and drive them through resolution Participate in customer meetings and communicate technical concepts clearly Conduct and support Select Best Practice Assessments (BPAs) Identify configuration weaknesses, security risks, and opportunities for improvement Document technical findings, recommendations, remediation activities, and customer environments Assist with customer onboarding and technical transitions Collaborate with other engineers to provide backup coverage and share technical knowledge Proactively escalate technical or customer concerns when appropriate Contribute to engineering documentation, methodology, and internal knowledge Help improve the tools and processes Select uses to deliver customer engineering services Technical Experience Experience with some of the following is preferred: Mimecast administration and troubleshooting Microsoft 365 and Exchange Online Secure Email Gateways Email routing and mail-flow troubleshooting DNS DMARC, SPF, and DKIM Email authentication and anti-spoofing technologies Security incident investigation Microsoft Entra ID and identity concepts General networking and cybersecurity fundamentals Direct Mimecast experience is highly desirable but not required for an otherwise strong candidate. A degree in cybersecurity, computer science, information technology, engineering, or a related discipline is helpful but not required . Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Network+, Microsoft certifications, or Mimecast certifications are desirable. Equivalent hands-on experience will be considered.

$70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
