Job Description
Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or a related Science or Mathematics field, plus a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree, plus 6 months relevant experience.
CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS
Ability to obtain a Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required. Responsibilities for this Position General Dynamics Mission Systems has an opening for an Information Assurance Engineer supporting our site in Pittsfield, MA.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Solid application of systems engineering concepts, principles, and theories
- Solid understanding of verification and validation process
- Familiar with cyber security specifications such as Risk Management Framework (RMF), DIACAP, STIGs and other government security specifications and guidelines
- Aware of business objective and Engineering role in achieving
- Skilled in communicating issues, impacts, and corrective actions
- Solid ability to clearly recognize and report relevant system security concerns and issues
- Receives and acts on instructions from immediate supervisor
- Ability to participate in and contribute to multiple work groups
- Works under general supervision
- May have some contact outside Engineering or with external customers
- Solid written and verbal communications skills
- Creative thinker, good multi-tasker
- Solid proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance
