The role will work closely with monitoring technologies such as Microsoft Defender and CrowdStrike while helping protect systems, data, and user access across the environment.
Responsibilities:
- Take ownership of assigned security alerts from initial review through containment, remediation, and documented closure.
- Investigate suspicious activity involving phishing campaigns, unauthorized access attempts, and other monitored threats affecting applications and systems.
- Use Microsoft Defender and CrowdStrike to analyze detections, validate risk, and determine appropriate response actions.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors when security events involve sensitive information, access concerns, or policy exceptions.
- Track findings, maintain accurate case records, and communicate status updates until each incident is fully resolved.
- Identify patterns across recurring alerts and recommend practical improvements to strengthen security monitoring and response effectiveness.
- Support data protection efforts by evaluating incidents that may impact privacy, database security, or controlled file access.
