Piper Companies is looking to fill the role of Cloud Security Engineer for a Cloud and Technology company located in Morrisville, NC. The Cloud Security Engineer will Show strong knowledge of security practices inside and outside the clous along with strong communications, organization, and problem-solving skills. The Cloud Security Engineer requires time in-office 2 days per week in Morrisville, NC. Responsibilities of the
Cloud Security Engineer Include:
Ensure secure AWS configuration by maintaining environments aligned with best practices, STIGs, CIS benchmarks, and
NIST 800-53
controls Identify and remediate security gaps through continuous monitoring, documentation of findings, and creation of remediation tickets Engage stakeholders by leading discussions on configurations, vulnerabilities, and recommended actions Collaborate across teams including DevOps, IT, and Compliance to support secure cloud operations Automate and document security processes using cloud-native tools and scripting while maintaining clear security documentation Qualifications for the
Cloud Security Engineer Include:
2+ years of professional cloud security engineer experience Ability to work in the U.S. Experience with AWS, IAM, KMS, CloudTrail, GuardDuty, security Hub, and WAF Hands on knowledge with SIEM tools Proficiency in scripting and automations Preferred AWS certified security-Specialty, CISSP certificate Compensation for the Cloud Security Engineer include: $100,000-$120,000
