ROLE DESCRIPTION POSITION SUMMARY
The Information Security Analyst develops, implements, maintains, documents and evaluates a standard set of security guidelines and controls for all organizational platforms. This position also provides support and education to users on security procedures and exposures. This position also adds and deletes user accounts and reviews audit reports.
QUALIFICAITONS EDUCATION
High School diploma required. Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Data Processing or related field preferred. Several courses or seminars on data security concepts, auditing, operating systems security features are preferred.
LICENSE/CERTIFICATION
Security + Certification preferred.
EXPERIENCE
2 -3 years experience with data security/audit concepts required or 4 years system/application administration where data security and user account management was included as part of job duties. Strong analytical, administrative and auditing skills required. This position may require on-call responsibilities.
PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS
Responsible for developing, maintaining, executing and evaluating data security control processes associated with user authorizations, control procedures, daily/periodic audit reports, security violations and escalations.
- Creates and maintains user accounts.
- Assists in identifying system liabilities and makes recommendations for procedures and/or controls to eliminate or reduce risks.
- Investigates, documents and resolves actual and potential data security exposures.
- Assists in the evaluation, implementation, and configuration of cross platform, third party security products ensuring conformance to established standards.
- Performs in-house audits on systems as required.
- Maintains appropriate documentation related to security projects, controls, procedures, and audits.
- Remains current on security/audit systems features and maximizes use.
- Provides support and education on security related issues.
- Understands and practices the InfoShare Values.

- Performs other duties as assigned.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Potential for exposure to the hazards and risk of the hospital environment, including exposure to infectious disease, hazardous substances, and potential injury. This position requires repetitive motion, fingering, grasping, hearing, and speaking a majority of the time. This position also requires spending time with such equipment as computer terminal, fax machine, copier and telephone.
