Job Description

We are looking for a Cybersecurity Analyst to help protect and strengthen the organization's technology environment in Oyster Bay, New York. In this role, you will monitor security events, investigate potential threats, and work closely with IT partners to reduce risk across systems and infrastructure. This position also supports secure operations through documentation, system maintenance, and guidance on compliant technology use, including approved AI tools.
Responsibilities:
  • Monitor networks, endpoints, and security tools to detect threats, unusual behavior, vulnerabilities, and unauthorized activity across the environment.
  • Investigate security events from initial alert through resolution, documenting findings, assessing business impact, and identifying underlying causes.
  • Evaluate security risks, rank remediation priorities, and collaborate with internal technology teams to implement effective corrective measures.
  • Review the effectiveness of security controls and confirm that mitigation efforts are completed, tested, and properly validated.
  • Escalate material cybersecurity, governance, compliance, and risk concerns to leadership with clear analysis to support informed decisions.
  • Provide guidance on the secure and policy-aligned use of approved artificial intelligence solutions and assist with oversight of related practices.
  • Assist with infrastructure administration by supporting patching, upgrades, testing, and security improvements, including occasional after-hours maintenance activities.
  • Maintain current documentation for system settings, security measures, asset inventories, and operational procedures to support audit readiness and continuity.
  • Offer secondary technical support for escalated user issues and service requests when additional troubleshooting expertise is needed.
