THE OPPORTUNITY
Our client is a well-funded agentic-HR platform (~35 people, founded 2021, $55M raised) building AI agents that streamline HR processes and elevate the employee experience — including an "AI HR generalist." As an Agent Engineer, you'll implement, configure, and optimize the platform for customers' unique HR environments.
Note:
this is not a software-engineering role — you won't be shipping product code.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Configure and deploy integrations with SSO, SCIM, and
HRIS/HCM
platforms (Workday, UKG, Dayforce, SAP, SharePoint, Google Drive). Gather technical requirements from customers and present workflow designs. Build agentic HR workflows across policy administration, employee support, service delivery, and HR operations. Synchronize customer content via RAG. Develop configurable extraction algorithms. Provide first-line technical escalation. Manage a portfolio of 6-8 accounts and advocate for product improvements.
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
First 90 days: ramp on the platform and own configuration for early accounts.
First year:
run a healthy portfolio of deployments and drive measurable customer outcomes.
MUST-HAVES 3-7
years as a Solutions Engineer, FDE, or similar technical customer-facing role; hands-on with APIs/REST; Python proficiency; strong customer-facing skills.
NICE-TO-HAVES HRIS/HCM
integration experience; RAG/agentic-workflow experience; familiarity with modern AI tooling.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
$150K-$180K base (USD), competitive equity.
LOCATION & WORK MODEL
Hybrid in Redwood City, CA (Mon/Tue in office) or 100% remote within the
