Job Description
Use Your Power for Purpose Our Global Cyber Defense team (CD) is responsible for safeguarding Pfizer's digital assets and infrastructure through proactive threat detection, response, and risk mitigation across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments. The CD organization is part of a broader security organization at Pfizer called CISO. - Response Threat Operations will report into the Response Threat Operations team and will focus on responding to network security events and building a deep understanding of cybersecurity attacks against Pfizer. The Senior Manager
- Response Threat Operations will be expected to lead event correlation across large datasets, perform and drive complete attack lifecycle analysis, develop remediation plans, implement proactive and reactive countermeasures, and create innovative solutions to the security issues that face the Pfizer environment. ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead the AMER Response Threat Operations (RTO) team, providing strategic direction, operational oversight, and people leadership while fostering a high-performing, collaborative, and growth-oriented culture. Partner with Cyber Defense and CISO leadership to define and execute the long-term vision, strategy, and operational roadmap for threat detection, incident response, and cyber defense capabilities. Oversee 24x7 threat monitoring, incident response, and cyber intrusion analysis activities across global regions, ensuring effective identification, investigation, containment, and remediation of security threats. Drive operational excellence through process optimization, automation, metrics-driven decision making, and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance response capabilities and organizational resilience. Lead and develop talent through performance management, coaching, mentoring, workforce planning, hiring, and career development, ensuring the team possesses the technical capabilities required to meet evolving threat landscapes. Serve as a key stakeholder and regional representative for Threat Operations, partnering with business, technology, and security leaders to manage risk, communicate security impacts, and strengthen organizational security posture. Direct the execution of strategic programs and projects using Agile principles, ensuring efficient resource management, timely delivery, and measurable business outcomes. Provide technical leadership and guidance on cyber threat detection, digital forensics, malware analysis, threat intelligence, and incident response methodologies while promoting continuous learning and cybersecurity expertise across the team. Here Is What You Need (Minimum Requirem Bachelor's degree with 6+ years of experience, Master's degree with 5+ years of experience, or PhD with 1+ years of experience in cybersecurity, information security, computer science, or a related field. Advanced level understanding of TCP/IP, common networking ports and protocols, traffic flow, system administration, OSI model, defense-in-depth, and common security elements. Advanced level understanding of the life cycle of network threats, attacks, attack vectors and methods of exploitation with an understanding of intrusion set tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) Advanced level knowledge of the Windows operating system, system utilities, admin functions Significant experience with open-source security analysis tools such as Wireshark, SNORT, Splunk, Kali Linux, Sift, REMnux etc. Experience with Computer programming and scripting languages such as C, Python, Java, etc. Ability to proactively solve complex problems both individually and as part of a team Leadership skills with the ability to prioritize and execute with minimal direction or oversight Outstanding communication skills, including the ability to write and verbally articulate industry terminology to interact at a technical level, management level and senior executive level Organizational, planning, and administrative abilities and the ability to coordinate multiple complex projects simultaneously Demonstrated experience in an agile work environment possessing qualities such as a collaborative mindset, adaptability to change, and a proactive problem-solving approach.PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS

Hybrid Last date to apply: 8/3/2026 The annual base salary for this position ranges from $139,100.00 to $231,900.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer's Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 17.5% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
