We are seeking a Senior Network Security Engineer with strong expertise in enterprise network security, WAN technologies, SD-WAN, and network access control. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience designing, configuring, troubleshooting, and supporting Palo Alto firewalls, Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE), SD-WAN environments, and enterprise networking infrastructure. The engineer will work across network security and connectivity initiatives, providing technical leadership, troubleshooting complex issues, implementing secure network solutions, and supporting ongoing infrastructure modernization.Key Responsibilities:
Network Security & Firewall:
Design, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise network security solutions. Provide advanced administration and troubleshooting for Palo Alto Networks security platforms. Manage Palo Alto Panorama for centralized firewall management and policy administration. Configure and support GlobalProtect VPN solutions. Implement and troubleshoot Distributed User-ID functionality. Develop and maintain firewall security policies, NAT, security zones, routing, and access controls. Analyze security events and network traffic to identify and resolve connectivity or security issues. Support Cisco ASA firewall and VPN implementations. Perform firewall upgrades, configuration changes, troubleshooting, and optimization.Cisco ISE & Network Access Control:
Design, configure, and support Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE). Implement and troubleshoot 802.1X authentication and authorization. Configure TACACS+ for network device administration. Support IoT device onboarding, profiling, authentication, and access policies. Configure and manage guest access solutions. Develop and maintain network access control policies using Cisco ISE. Troubleshoot authentication, authorization, endpoint profiling, and policy enforcement issues.WAN, SD-WAN
&QoS:
Design, implement, and troubleshoot enterprise Wide Area Network (WAN) technologies. Provide advanced support for Software-Defined Wide Area Network (SD-WAN) environments. Configure and troubleshoot VeloCloud SD-WAN solutions. Develop and maintain Quality of Service (QoS) policies to optimize network performance. Analyze WAN performance, latency, packet loss, routing, and application traffic. Support SD-WAN migrations, deployments, upgrades, and optimization initiatives. Troubleshoot complex connectivity issues across branch, data center, and cloud environments. F5 &Network Infrastructure:
Configure and troubleshoot F5 networking and application delivery technologies. Support load balancing, traffic management, and application connectivity requirements. Configure and troubleshoot Cisco switches, routers, and wireless networking infrastructure. Support routing, switching, wireless connectivity, and enterprise network troubleshooting. Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and application teams to resolve cross-platform issues.Technical Leadership & Collaboration:
Provide technical leadership for network security and infrastructure initiatives. Analyze complex network and security problems and develop effective solutions. Participate in architecture and technical design discussions. Recommend best practices and alternative solutions for network security and connectivity challenges. Collaborate with engineering, infrastructure, security, application, and project teams. Mentor junior engineers and provide knowledge transfer to project team members. Communicate technical risks, recommendations, and solutions to technical and non-technical stakeholders.Documentation & Operational Support:
Develop and maintain network diagrams, technical documentation, process flows, configuration documentation, and operational runbooks. Support change management, release management, and implementation activities. Perform configuration reviews and ensure adherence to network security standards. Participate in incident, problem, and change management processes. Support troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and remediation activities. Contribute to project deliverables and technical documentation. Perform other assigned technical responsibilities. Required /Must-Have Skills:
Strong hands-on experience with WAN technologies, including SD-WAN and QoS. Must have advanced Palo Alto Networks experience, including: Panorama GlobalProtect Distributed User-ID Must have strong Cisco ISE experience, including: 802.1X TACACS+ IoT Guest Access Strong experience with VeloCloud SD-WAN. Strong experience with Cisco ASA and VPN implementations. Strong experience with Cisco switches, routers, and wireless networking. Advanced network troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities. Strong understanding of enterprise network security architecture and access control.Preferred Qualifications:
Experience supporting large-scale enterprise network environments. Experience with F5 configuration and troubleshooting. Experience integrating network security platforms with identity and access management solutions. Experience with network monitoring, performance management, and troubleshooting tools. Knowledge of network security best practices and enterprise security standards. Experience working in complex distributed environments. Participate in data conversion and data maintenance activities where applicable. Provide network security best practices and industry-specific solutions. Advise on alternative and out-of-the-box technical solutions. Provide thought leadership and hands-on technical configuration and implementation support. Participate as a member of the technical and functional project teams. Support network security implementation, troubleshooting, testing, and deployment activities. Perform other duties as assigned.Position Requirements:
Hybrid onsite position. Dallas-area local candidates are strongly preferred. Resource is expected to work from the Dallas-area office in Addison, TX, 2-3 days per week. Candidates should be able to meet the required onsite schedule.Virtual / In
