What they do

A Cyber Crime Analyst or Investigator investigates a number of crimes, ranging from recovering file systems on computers that have been hacked or damaged to investigating crimes against children. Recovers data from computers that can be used in prosecuting crimes in court. Computer crime investigators must also write reports for and testify in court. Also may work for large corporations to test security systems that are currently in place. Investigators do this by trying various ways to hack into the corporation's computer networks. At corporations, computer crime investigators also maximize optimal computer system performance levels.

Job Description

DigiStream Investigations is a fast-growing, premiere provider of investigative services across New England. We seek an inquisitive content consumer who is ready to use their scrolling skills for good as a Social Media Investigator.
Your Mission:
Compile digital evidence and social media data for use in fraud investigations Write comprehensive investigative reports detailing your findings
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Psychology, History, Political Science or other writing-intensive major Ability to read, analyze, and interpret large amounts of information Navigation and use social networking websites, apps, and search engines Dedication to maintaining confidentiality of information Focus and time management skills (multi-tasking and strict deadlines) Accountability for working under minimal supervision Typing speed of at least 40 WPM (with accuracy) Strong communication and research skills Willingness to learn and adapt to changes in the digital world
Details:
Hybrid schedule: 3 days home, 2 in-office (Monday-Friday) Entry level with career advancement opportunities Starting pay: $20/hour, raises at 90-day and annual performance reviews Certified Great Place to Work ® Paid time off accrual starting first day, benefits at 60, and 401k offered at 6 months
