Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Software Asset Manager to help shape and maintain enterprise software asset governance across a complex global environment. Our team is looking for someone who can strengthen compliance, improve software investment decisions, and partner effectively across technology, legal, finance, procurement, and architecture.
Responsibilities:
Lead the end-to-end lifecycle management of enterprise software assets from procurement through retirement. Manage license compliance for major publishers and support audit preparation, response, and true-up activities. Maintain and mature the SAM Pro module in ServiceNow, ensuring accurate entitlement, discovery, and consumption data. Analyze software usage to identify savings opportunities, reduce shelfware, and support rightsizing or harvesting decisions.
Required:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, Finance, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 5+ years of experience in Software Asset Management or Licensing Management in a global enterprise environment. Strong working knowledge of enterprise software licensing models, including user-based, device-based, subscription, and cloud/SaaS. Hands-on experience with ServiceNow SAM Pro, Flexera, Snow, or similar tools. Familiarity with software compliance frameworks and audit response practices. Ability to interpret complex license agreements and translate them into actionable controls and insights.
