Hybrid Job Description Position Overview We are seeking a Senior Network Security Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and ongoing management of enterprise network security solutions. This individual will serve as a technical leader and subject matter expert, helping strengthen the organization's cybersecurity posture while ensuring the stability, resiliency, and performance of critical infrastructure. In this role, you will drive security architecture initiatives, support operational security functions, and partner with infrastructure, application, and security teams to deliver scalable solutions. You will play a key role in identifying emerging threats, implementing security best practices, and protecting enterprise systems from internal and external risks. Key Responsibilities- Design, implement, and support enterprise network security architecture and security technologies
- Lead network security projects and strategic initiatives with broad business impact
- Manage and maintain firewalls, IDS/IPS platforms, endpoint security solutions, and web application firewalls
- Monitor security events and investigate threats using SIEM, vulnerability management, and security monitoring tools
- Assess security risks and recommend solutions that align with business and regulatory requirements
- Develop and maintain network security standards, policies, documentation, and reference architectures
- Partner with cross functional technology teams to troubleshoot complex network and security issues
- Support major incident response activities, vendor engagements, operational escalations, and on call responsibilities Key Requirements
- 10+ years of Information Technology experience with at least 5+ years focused on Information Security and Network Security Engineering
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
- Extensive hands on experience with enterprise firewalls, IDS/IPS platforms, endpoint security, authentication systems, content filtering, and log management solutions
- Strong expertise supporting Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto, Check Point, Juniper, or similar enterprise security technologies
- Deep understanding of networking protocols and technologies including TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VPN, VLAN, DNS, DHCP, LAN, WAN, and wireless networking
- Experience supporting cloud environments including Azure and AWS, along with Identity and Access Management technologies such as SAML, OAuth, OpenID, SCIM, and related protocols
- Experience managing large scale enterprise firewall environments, network monitoring platforms, vulnerability management tools, and security operations processes
- Strong analytical, problem solving, project management, communication, and stakeholder management skills Preferred Qualifications
- CISSP, CISM, CISA, GIAC, CEH, PCNSE, Fortinet NSE, CCSE, CSSLP, or related security certifications
- Experience with Cisco Identity Services Engine or other Network Access Control platforms
- Experience implementing Zero Trust Network Access solutions
- Knowledge of network automation technologies such as Ansible, Terraform, or Puppet
- Experience with SolarWinds Orion or similar enterprise network monitoring tools
- Advanced knowledge of packet analysis, NetFlow, IP SLA, QoS, and multicast technologies
- Experience supporting both Windows and Linux operating environments
