Cyber Security Engineer

Description Lead and contribute to teams that tackle complex, multi-disciplinary problems spanning cybersecurity, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, and computer science. You'll have the opportunity to mentor junior engineers, lead projects, and explore new topics while leveraging your existing skills. As a Journeyman Cyber Engineer, you'll contribute to teams that work hands-on with state-of-the-art electronics. You'll design, develop, and implement innovative techniques in support of the team's work on new technologies, and mentor junior engineers to do the same. • Active Top-Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain SCI.
• BS in a related discipline and 5-7 years of directly related experience
• Experience leading projects and mentoring junior engineers
• Strong knowledge of cryptography and cryptographic systems
• Proficiency in a coding/programming languages such as Python, Java, or C
• Experience performing a variety of tasks using command line interfaces such as the Linux terminal
• In-depth understanding of networking topics such as IP addressing and subnetting as well as common protocols (HTTP, TCP, UDP, FTP, etc.) and technologies (ethernet, Wi-Fi, etc.)
• Familiarity with the programmatic use of APIs
• Experience working with containers at a technical level
• Experience leveraging interfaces and protocols such as I2C, JTAG, UART, SPI, USB, and Ethernet Experience Level Intermediate Level Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Aber Prov Grd, MD.

Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $48.00 - $96.15/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
