Overview Join our Information Security Specialist team and become a vital defender of our digital assets! Your expertise will help us maintain a resilient security posture across diverse environments, including cloud platforms, on-premises networks, and enterprise systems. Duties Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive security strategies aligned with industry standards such as
ISO 27001, NIST
frameworks, and FIPS guidelines. Conduct thorough vulnerability assessments and security risk investigations to identify potential threats within LAN, WAN, and cloud infrastructure. Configure and maintain network security devices including firewalls (Cisco ASA), IDS/IPS systems, VPNs, and SIEM solutions like Splunk or SolarWinds for real-time threat detection. Perform security system administration tasks such as system hardening, patch management, and access control using tools like Active Directory, LDAP, GPOs, and RBAC. Lead incident response efforts by analyzing security events through SIEM tools, coordinating incident recovery procedures, and documenting findings for continuous improvement. Manage security compliance initiatives including PCI DSS, FedRAMP, DIACAP, RMF, and adherence to
ISO 27000
series standards across all IT environments. Collaborate with network engineering teams to design secure network architectures utilizing routing protocols (OSPF, BGP), load balancing (F5), and network support practices to ensure high availability and disaster recovery readiness. Skills Extensive knowledge of computer networking concepts such as LAN/WAN architecture, TCP/IP protocols, DNS/DHCP services, and IPsec VPN configurations. Proficiency with cybersecurity tools including SIEM platforms (Splunk), endpoint detection & response (EDR), threat intelligence platforms, and vulnerability management solutions. Strong understanding of information security principles like encryption (SSL/TLS), system security plans (SSPs), network security best practices, and open-source operating systems such as Linux (Ubuntu, CentOS) or BSD variants. Experience with cloud security engineering in environments like AWS or Azure; familiarity with cloud architecture design principles including IaaS/PaaS models. Ability to perform security assessments using frameworks such as COBIT or NIST standards; conduct vulnerability research and threat detection & response activities effectively. Skilled in scripting languages such as Python or Bash for automation tasks; familiar with DevOps practices for secure software deployment pipelines. Knowledge of identity & access management protocols including SSO integrations and multi-factor authentication methods; experience managing privileged access controls.
