Cultivate an accountable, high-trust team culture with clear ownership models for both internal engineers and third-party vendors. Build cross-training initiatives and documentation repositories to ensure operational stability during high-demand cycles or enterprise transitions. Business Continuity & System Resilience Engineer highly available enterprise environments designed to support continuous business activities. Formulate comprehensive cyber resilience strategies, system dependency maps, failover runbooks, and risk assessment inputs. Coordinate crisis management exercises, post-mortem reviews, and executive messaging alongside Legal, Risk, and Security teams. Environment Administration, Security Integration & Quality Maintain end-to-end oversight of enterprise cloud platforms (Azure, M365), access management, network backbones, and user endpoints through modern telemetry tools. Partner with Security teams to enforce zero-trust concepts, network isolation, access rights management, patch routines, and system hardening standardizations. Direct root-cause analyses for systemic issues, managing corrective action pipelines to prevent recurring operational bottlenecks. Release Management & Strategic Alignment Establish governance frameworks for evaluating, scheduling, and approving routine and emergency infrastructure modifications. Host technical change reviews with application owners, enterprise architects, and external consultants to mitigate implementation risks. Deliver clear communications to executive management and cross-functional teams regarding scheduled maintenance, system impacts, and contingency protocols. Elevate the overall end-user experience by delivering responsive desktop support backed by disciplined asset and configuration management practices. Operational Approach & Cultural Values Drive execution using established, structured operational frameworks (such as EOS/Traction principles) to set objectives, systematically track progress, and resolve operational blockers. Build trust across internal departments through open dialog, active listening, and constructive engagement with stakeholders at all levels. Model a low-ego, team-first leadership style grounded in transparency, adaptability, and an unyielding commitment to organizational success. Candidate Qualifications Education & Credentials Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent practical industry experience). Professional certifications such as CISSP, ITIL, Azure Administrator, or Solutions Architect credentials are highly valued. Required Background 15+ years of expanding responsibilities across enterprise IT, networking, and cloud systems, including a minimum of 5 years managing technical teams and vendor relationships. Prior experience operating within regulated industries (e.g., financial services, public companies) with strict audit, compliance, and change controls is strongly preferred. Proven track record deploying and maintaining Azure cloud ecosystems, Microsoft 365, directory services, core networking, system backups, and failover architectures. Hands-on familiarity with vulnerability management, identity governance, incident handling, and formal operational methodologies. Demonstrated skill in managing external MSPs, steering major technical transformations, and translating complex technical details into clear business context for executive leadership. Key Competencies Exceptional professional judgment, high ethical standards, and the ability to operate autonomously while managing organizational risk. Flexible leadership style that moves smoothly between high-level architectural planning, team mentorship, and active incident response. Methodical analytical skills focused on root-cause analysis, risk mitigation, and actionable resolutions. Versatile communication capabilities tailored to both technical teams and non-technical business partners. Practical mindset capable of balancing uptime, budget constraints, security controls, and user experience within an agile environment.
