A Vulnerability Analyst or Penetration Tester probes for and exploits security vulnerabilities in web-based applications, networks and systems. Penetration Tests are designed to achieve a specific, attacker-simulated goal and should be requested by customers who are already at their desired security posture. A typical goal could be to access the contents of the prized customer database on the internal network, or to modify a record in an HR system. Vulnerability Assessments are designed to yield a prioritized list of vulnerabilities and are generally for clients who already understand they are not where they want to be in terms of security. The customer already knows they have issues and simply need help identifying and prioritizing them.

Nightwing brings disruptive technologies, agility, and competitive offerings to customers in the intelligence community, defense, civil, and commercial markets. Nightwing is seeking a highly skilled Windows Vulnerability Research (VR) Engineer to support advanced research, development, and exploitation efforts on Windows platforms. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise in low-level programming, vulnerability research, and exploit development, along with a strong background in secure software analysis. Required Qualifications In addition to meeting all baseline technical requirements for contractor technical personnel, the candidate must possess, at a minimum , the following: Current TS/SCI with Poly Clearance At least three (3) years of professional experience in each of the following: Developing, testing, and debugging software in C Developing, testing, and debugging software in C++ Developing, testing, and debugging software in Python Demonstrated hands-on experience in: Vulnerability Research (VR) Reverse Engineering (RE) Exploit development and exploitation Proven expertise working with Windows operating systems , including internal architectures, debugging, and security mechanisms Preferred Skills (Optional - if you want to add them later) Experience with Windows kernel internals Familiarity with common reverse engineering tools and debuggers Understanding of modern exploit mitigations and bypass techniques Experience supporting mission-critical or government systems
