  • Full-time Duncan Disability Law is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to help support clients through the Social Security disability process.
This office-based role is ideal for someone who is organized, compassionate, accurate, and comfortable managing documents, deadlines, and client communication. Job Summary The Administrative Assistant will prepare and file disability applications and appeals, maintain accurate case files, communicate with claimants and the Social Security Administration, and help ensure important deadlines are met. Responsibilities
  • Prepare and file online Social Security disability applications and appeals.
  • Review claimant files, request missing information, and send correspondence.
  • Communicate with claimants, medical providers, representatives, and the Social Security Administration.
  • Track deadlines and help ensure filings are completed accurately and on time.
  • Maintain organized paper and electronic files, case notes, and activity logs.
  • Assist with general office duties, including scanning, copying, mailing, data entry, scheduling, and answering phones.
  • Handle sensitive claimant information with professionalism and confidentiality. Qualifications
  • Associate Degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Prior experience in office support, legal assistance, claims processing, medical records, or customer service preferred.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office, online forms, and electronic file management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organization, accuracy, discretion, and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
  • Compassionate and professional when working with individuals experiencing medical, financial, or personal stress. Preferred Experience
  • Social Security disability, legal, or healthcare records experience.
  • Familiarity with SSA forms, online filing systems, case management software, or document management systems.
Work Environment This is an office-based position requiring regular use of a computer, telephone, scanner, and copier. The role may involve sitting for extended periods and occasionally lifting or moving paper files and office materials.
